Customer Testimonial Video- Friar’s Club of Cincinnati
We sat down with Annie Timmons, Executive Director of the Friar’s Club of Cincinnati, to discuss her experience with Robbins and their new basketball floor installed in June 2014. The Friar’s Club of Cincinnati recently moved to their new home next to Roger Bacon High School, allowing them to serve hundreds of local youth in the community. The new facility features 25,000 sq ft of Robbins Bio-Channel Star flooring which makes up 4 regulation high school basketball and volleyball courts and was installed by our exclusive dealer, Cincinnati Floor Company. In addition to hardwood, the new facility also features 7,500 sq ft of Galaxy weight room flooring in the adjoining fitness center. Since 1860, the Friar’s Club of Cincinnati has provided sports and youth development programs to local students the community, providing them with “a safe place to go and getting them off the streets”. Currently more than 700 students are enrolled in the sports programs and according to Ms. Timmons, the new building will allow them to serve more than double or triple students in the coming year.
The quality of a Robbins sports floor is not only known, but felt. As stated by Ms. Timmons, “Anytime you have someone on the floor all the time, whether its the referees or kids playing, it’s important to have a good quality floor. Robbins floors have been great. With the kids playing on it everyday, the referees have talked to me about shin splints and all the injuries you can have from pounding the floor everyday. They think the floor is great and not just the look of the floor, but the quality and the feel of the floor for the kids and the officials”.
We are excited to be a part of such a great community program, and even more excited they are pleased with the floor! Thank you to Cincinnati Floor Company for doing such a wonderful job in the installation and finish of the floors in the new facility.
